Rachel Erin: Yearbook Trip!

Yay, I can finally blog about my trip! LOL. Actually, I still don't have all the pics because the uploading thing in yearbook is broken, but oh well. I'll add more pics later lol. Okay, so Thursday after school we all piled in the big, embarrassing DCS van to head down to Long Beach. (Except our editor Rossanna and our only boy Jacob didn't go lol). We all decided to stay at my grandma's house so that we didn't have to pay for a hotel. My grandparents ended up not even being there though, because my Uncle Don, he was my great uncle, died earlier that week so they went to Vegas to be with his wife. Anyways, we got to my grandma's house, unloaded the van, and then went to Buca di Bepo's for dinner! YUM! It was so good. And we were all so brave, we tried calamari (squid)! It was actually really good, I loved it lol. Mrs. Puglia was so proud of us for eating it lol. Then as a joke to Mrs. Puglia, we secretly told our waitress that it was her birthday lol. But we told them to not bring the cake, since it wasn't really her birthday, and they just looked at us funny, and we like, just trust us, no cake! LOL. So they bring out this candle thing and were like, "We hear it's your birthday!" and Mrs. Puglia yells, "NO IT'S NOT!" lolol. It was so funny. Then after we all stuffed ourselves full of food, we decided we wanted to go to the beach. So we drive around trying to find a place to park and we finally found this little beach and we all got out and started screaming and running towards the stairs lol. There were some scuba divers coming up the stairs and told us to be careful because there were some druggies smoking down there, but we didn't care, we just ran down lol. So we all roll up our pants and stick our feet in the water. It felt SO GOOD! We all just stood at the shore for awhile, taking pics and acting goofy, but then we couldn't take it any more, we wanted to go in! So we all ended up getting SOAKED from head to toe! lol. It was a BLAST! I actually fell in, and the wave started taking me and Meagan was like screaming for me trying to save me LOL. Then about 11:30 we headed back to my grandma's house to all take showers and get in our pj's and then we went to Rite Aid at about 12:30 for some ice cream. The server guy was SUCH A JERK though! He told us he didn't want to serve us, but we told him he had to, and then he was telling us to hurry up and stuff. But then I got my ice cream and I was happy :) haha. The next morning, we had to wake up at 7 am to get ready to go WHALE WATCHING! Our boat left from Newport Beach. Ash and I were so excited to go there because that's where our favorite show "The O.C." takes place lol. So we get on our boat and it turns out we were on a boat with 90 Canadians! lol. They were a choir and had come to sing in Anaheim. So we started talking to this one girl and she said that they could all sing for us after we got off the boat! We were so excited lol. Then we ended up singing our "Shamu" song that we learned in 7th grade for them haha. Then I guess Meagan and Emily had started flirting with our captain, Captain Bob lol and somehow we all ended up in his little captain room taking pics of us steering the boat lol. Then Brad, Captain Bob's assistant, came in and we all started flirting with him LOL. We all took a pic with Captain Bob, and then one with Brad haha. And they let us sit in there with them and we were telling them how we were yearbook staff and then Brad goes up to Captain Bob and says, " We're going to be in their yearbook" all proudly lol. It was hilarious. Then we remembered the "it's Mrs. Puglia's Birthday" joke, and so we asked Captain Bob if we could go on the loud speaker and sing for her lol. So we get on and Emily starts talking saying that it's her birthday and Mrs. Puglia turns around and looks at us through the window like she's going to kill us haha. Then sadly our boat trip came to an end, and we had to say goodbye to Captain Bob and Brad :( lol. But first we gave them Mrs. Puglia's email so they could email us LOL. After we got off the boat, the Canadian choir sang for us, and they were AMAZING! Then we wanted to get henna tattoos, because we saw a sign in a store window, but the lady that does them wasn't there so Ash and I got tank tops that say OC on them instead lol. Then we went to Subway to get lunch and took it to the beach to have a picnic. When we got to the beach there were surfer dudes there, so we took pics with them before we ate haha. Then we climbed on all these rocks that jutted out into the ocean. I was scared I was going to fall though, so I was being all careful and got down to the end super slowly. But not as slowly as Alexis, we all started heading back before she even got to the end LOL. There were TONS of starfish, crabs, and muscles on the rocks. Savannah went down and ripped a muscle off and we decided to keep him as a pet lol. We named him Chadford, because Captain Bob's son, who is also a captain, is named Chad lol. But then on the ride home, we realized Chadford was dead :( lolol. Oh man, it was such a fun trip! Best 2 days of my life, literally lol. So many fun memories. So much laughing, screaming, singing, and flirting with hot guys lolol.
