New Moon

Finally saw New Moon. Let me just say this about it...

AMAZING! lol

Got Sucked In

Well, I've finally been sucked in....to TWILIGHT! lol. I always kind of wanted to read the books, but never got around to it. I saw the first movie a while ago, but then just shrugged it off. Then when I got back to school after Christmas break, my yearbook teacher told me she actually started reading them, and that I HAVE TO lol. So she let me borrow the first book to read, and OH.MY.GOSH. I am officially addicted lol. I went to Target on Friday and bought all the books, and finished New Moon last night. SO GOOD! I'm going to see New Moon tomorrow, and it's taking all my power to not start Eclipse until after I see New Moon (because I don't want to be halfway through Eclipse, and then make my mind go back to New Moon to see the movie lol). So hello, my name is Rachel, and I am ADDICTED to Twilight! haha

2010

Well, it's a new year! It's finally 2010. I'm extremely excited, because this is a big year for me. This is the year I will graduate high school, I will get a job, and I will move to South Carolina (Lord willing, of course). I will become an "adult" this year. I feel kind of overwhelmed thinking of all the big things that will happen this year. My whole life is going to change. I'm going to be forced to grow up a lot this year. I'm going to go through a lot of hard times...but I also have a feeling that this is going to be my best year yet! I can't wait to experience all the huge things that are going to happen in my life this year, and also cherish the little things. 2010 is going to be an AMAZING year!

So of course, I have some goals for this year...resolutions I guess, although I hate calling them that, because no one ever sticks to their resolutions lol.

Get a job.
Graduate.
Be happier. Stop stressing about the little things.
Live in the moment. Stop thinking about only the future.
Move to South Carolina.
Be more open-minded.
Take chances. Don't be afraid.
Let God have all the control. Stop trying to do things myself.
Spend as much time as I can with the people that I love here before I move.
Get all A's second semester, so I don't have to take any finals.
Take lots of beautiful photos.
Take 5 minutes every day to think of everything that was good that day.
Learn to cook.

Busy Week!

My cousin Becca is now a married woman! :) Her and Adam got married on Monday, December 28th, 2009. So a week before the wedding I went down to my aunt's house to stay with them to help out with whatever needed to be done for the wedding. Plus there were so many events I needed to attend, so I figured I might as well stay there instead of driving back and forth. So here was my agenda:

Friday Dec. 18: Part 1 of bachelorette party. Had a scavenger hunt/sleepover
Saturday Dec. 19: Part 2 of bachelorette party. Went to Stampede in Temecula (a line dancing club.)
Sunday Dec. 20: Relaxing day, went to church and saw the movie "Did You Hear About the Morgans?"
Monday Dec. 21: Moved all of Becca and Adam's stuff into their apartment.
Tuesday Dec. 22: Rehearsal, rehearsal dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory, and Dave and Busters for Adam's 21st birthday.
Wednesday Dec. 23: Whole day dedicated to wedding stuff! Mainly worked on the programs. This was also the day that the water pipe behind my aunt's house broke, and my grandma fell and popped her fake hip out of place outside of a restaurant and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Thursday Dec. 24: Christmas Eve. Went to my aunt's friend's house for dinner.
Friday Dec. 25: Christmas! Whole family came to my aunt's house and had a nice relaxing day :)
Saturday Dec. 26: I needed a little break from all the craziness at my aunt's house, so my mom and I went to my other aunt's house in Ontario to finish the flower girl dress and then went to Victoria Gardens :)
Sunday Dec. 27: Had a bridesmaid's luncheon. My aunt and mom made all of us bridesmaids a nice brunch, and then we all went and got manicures and pedicures :)
Monday Dec. 28: WEDDING DAY! :)

So that was my crazy week and a half lol. I'm so glad I was able to be there for Becca though and help out any way I could. I am so happy for Adam and Becca!

Merry Christmas!

Gotta Catch Up

Well I seem to have neglected my blog the past couple months. Oops, haha. Lots has been happening. My cousin Becca has had all three of her wedding showers, we had Thanksgiving at my grandma's house, and Ashley and I saw David Archuleta in concert again. Don't have time to write about everything that's happened, but here are some pictures :)

Becca's 1st Bridal Shower

Becca's 2nd Bridal Shower. Our aunt Kim flew down from San Jose to come to this shower :)

Thanksgiving

Grandma Loretta's 91st Birthday

David Archuleta concert (A guy named Benton Paul opened for him. He is super good!)

Fearless 2010!

Woo hoo! I get to see Taylor Swift AGAIN! :) I'm so excited! It was a LOT harder and more stressful to get tickets this time around, but I finally got some! Going to Fresno instead of LA too, but I don't care lol.

Our seats aren't really as good as when I went to see her in San Diego, but they're still pretty good. We're in section 111, row K (so that's the 11th row). Last time I was in section 4, row C (3rd row).

I CAN'T WAIT TO GO! 164 days :) lol.

Doors

So I'm officially on the job hunt lol. Not such an easy task in this economy, and at my age. Most places you need to be 18, and I won't be 18 until March. But I'm hopeful, and praying that God will give me a job. See, getting a job is a big deal for me right now, because if I don't get a job then I don't have money to move to South Carolina next summer. But if I don't get a job, maybe that means that it's not God's plan for me to move to SC? I've prayed about it a lot, and I really feel in my heart that that's where God wants me, but how do I ever know for sure? I guess the answer to that is I don't. At least not until God shuts the door in my face. My Bible teacher said last week, that instead of waiting for God to open doors in his life, he tries to go through every door and lets God shut the ones He doesn't want him to go through. So I guess that's all I can do at this point. I'm going to do everything I can to be able to move to South Carolina next summer, and if God doesn't want me there, then He'll shut the door- and open another one.

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11

Photoshoot With Ash

Yesterday Ashley and I didn't have school since it was a teacher in-service day, so I decided I would make her be my model so I could practice my photography lol. It ended up being a freezing, cloudy day, but it was good practice for me lol. We went to Apollo Park, and it was beautiful! I've only been there like once, yearrrrrrs ago. I was glad I thought to go there :)

Thanks Bestie for being my model for the day and for doing all the things I asked you to do, even though you could have gotten hurt doing some of the things lol.

Also, she's releasing 6 new songs on October 27. Can't wait to hear them!
